Financial Services Guide and Website Disclosure Information
This Financial Services Guide and Website Disclosure Information has been designed to provide information about NTI Limited as the provider of the financial services you may receive from us, and about the relevant insurers and issuers of the insurance products, to assist you in deciding whether to use those financial services, to explain the remuneration that may be paid to NTI, and to explain how complaints are dealt with.
Who provides these financial services?
NTI insurance products are provided by National Transport Insurance, a joint venture of the insurers CGU Australia Pty Ltd trading as CGU Insurance ABN 62 004 478 960 AFSL 700014 and AAI Limited trading as Vero Insurance ABN 48 005 297 807 AFSL 230859 each holding a 50% share (Insurers). National Transport Insurance is administered on behalf of the insurers by its manager, NTI Limited ABN 84 000 746 109 AFSL 237246 (NTI) which acts under a binder given by the Insurers. Under this binder NTI provides general financial product advice and dealing services, including arranging policies, in relation to general insurance products, including relevant NTI insurance products. This means that, when NTI provides those services, it acts for and on behalf of the Insurers and not for you. NTI's registered address is Level 36, 300 George Street, Brisbane QLD 4000, or PO Box 13550 George Street, Queensland 4003. Phone (07) 3292 9800; Fax (07) 3292 9900.
NTI is responsible for the content of the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and website and has authorised their distribution / creation. Where an insurance policy is arranged for you, you will be given the relevant PDS and you will be directed to this website. The PDS is designed to provide important information on the relevant risks, significant features and benefits of the policy and is designed to assist you in making an informed decision about whether to buy the product. It may consist of more than one document.
You will need to consider whether or not the product suits you as we have not taken into account your individual objectives, financial circumstances or needs and are therefore not providing any personal financial advice. Before you make any decisions about the product, you should read the relevant PDS and target market determination (TMD) carefully to ensure that it is suitable for you.
Remuneration
The premium for the relevant insurance policy is payable to NTI. NTI is remunerated under a management fee arrangement with the Insurers for providing services under the binder in relation to relevant NTI insurance products. It is calculated based on expenses incurred by NTI for managing the National Transport Insurance joint venture.
Employees receive an annual salary which may also include bonuses and / or other incentives, which can be based on performance or other criteria.
If you would like more information about the remuneration that NTI receives, please contact us. This request should be made before any financial service identified in this website is provided to you.
Where a third party has referred you to us, we may pay them a commission or referral fee based on the nature of the referral.
Compensation Arrangements
NTI and its representatives are covered under professional indemnity insurance, which is the kind of compensation arrangement NTI has in place and which NTI considers satisfies the requirements of section 912B of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth). The insurance (subject to its terms and conditions) will continue to cover claims in relation to NTI and its representatives / employees who no longer work for it (but who did at the time of the relevant conduct).
