Why is NTI now seeking turnover details upfront on Motor only quotes?
Turnover has not traditionally been captured for Motor only quotes. In the in the new platform, doing this earlier supports the quote journey and avoids additional questions later in the process. Additionally, it also supports eligibility logic and future platform functionality in the pipeline.
Importantly, for Motor-only quotes, turnover is not currently used in the motor premium calculation. It is collected to support eligibility/referral logic and platform functionality. -
Where can I find information regarding all Sunrise platform changes and wording enhancements?
The NTI Broker Hub (https://www.nti.com.au/broker/tools-guides/sunrise-platform-updates); houses all available resources related to Sunrise platform changes and wording enhancement. Additionally, we encourage you to reach out to your NTI contact for further support.

Do these changes apply to fleet or standalone products?
No. All current changes are specific to Transport Pack and Yellow Cover on Sunrise. Fleet and standalone liability currently remain unchanged.

Why has NTI moved to GVM for light items?
Industry (ie. external market) uses GVM for light items. By keeping the units consistent, our intent is to makes it easier to select the correct item class.

Why has NTI changed the occupations options?
The new occupations options better align with the information brokers collect and allows us to integrate with broker systems. The granularity also allows for better rating.

Why can't I edit the turnover and number of workers in the Liability tab?
We now capture this information earlier in the journey on the "Operations" tab. Simply navigate back to the operations tab to update these details if required. The new flexible navigation allows you to easily jump back and forward to these pages.

Why are the questions for Quote and Covernote the same?
Broker feedback overwhelmingly indicated the desire for not seeing a referral on Covernote. By asking all questions upfront - we can deliver this.

Which products on Sunrise do the platform changes impact?
As part of this initial platform rollout the changes impact our Transport Pack and Yellow Cover products, and their respective schemes. We look forward to continuing to improve our Sunrise offering and expanding our product enhancements.

Why do I need to add a street address now?
As part of NTI's reinsurance arrangements, we're now required to provide more detail about our risk exposure. Information is collected and handled in accordance with NTI’s Privacy Policy.

What if the item split should be on a Transport Pack but the broker wants work tools covered?
Yellow Cover is designed for plant and machinery business with trucks as accommodation. Where the make-up of risk does not reflect this specialty then it will refer in for NTI to assess.

What determines something to be a 'work tool' vs a 'working accessory'?
Portable work tools means any of the following items used primarily by the insured's business that are owned by the Insured:
A. Portable power tools operated by a motor;
B. Manually operated hand held tools;
C. Portable electronics, mobile phones, laptops and the like;
D. Portable surveying equipment.
Working accessories are items that the insured owns or leases that would normally be attached to, or in, or on, the insured property, covered under Policy Product 1 Mobile Plant and Motor Vehicles.

Who should I contact if I'm having issues with the new Sunrise platform?
If you experience any issues with the new Sunrise platform, please contact your NTI representative. They can escalate the issue internally for a prompt resolution.

Do I still have the option of completing a manual slip with NTI?
Yes. There has been no change to our acceptance of manual slips from brokers, which are subject to underwriting review, eligibility and approval.

Do I need to search by VIN or registration number?
You can search by both VIN and registration number.

The schedules (text 60 and 74) are too long and hard to understand in their current format. Can NTI revise them?
Unfortunately, this is a Sunrise issue and NTI has no control over the length of the schedules. We can only control the documents NTI makes, which we're pleased to have received a lot of positive feedback on.

Why am I required to delete and re-add an existing truck in order to change its radius?
The current NTI mainframe system limits our ability to do this, but as we progress through the upgrade we plan make this functionality available. In the meantime, there is "duplicate item" button to help make the process easier. Simply duplicate the old item, change the radius, and then delete the old one.
