Every enhancement in our updated Sunrise platform directly responds to your feedback. We’ve listened to what slows you down and what gets in your way, and have focused all improvements around three key benefit areas:

Each change has been designed to make your day-to-day quoting experience smoother, clearer, and more efficient.

  • Faster Quoting

    • Fewer referrals from dynamic questions and refined driving history restrictions
    • Issues can be resolved faster via clear referral explanations in “Our Offer”
    • Flexible navigation allows you to move easily forwards and backwards through the quote and make edits without losing progress.
  • Less Manual Work

    • Standardised industry occupations, replace our previous list, giving you access to over 450 occupations
    • ABN and rego search to help reduce data entry and rekeying
    • Auto‑populated vehicle details minimises manual lookups
    • Option of multiple bases rather than workarounds like selecting Australia‑wide
    • Streamlined question sets to keep the quoting process short and simple
  • More Accuracy & Transparency

    • Item‑level premium splits to give you a clearer understanding of pricing*
    • Prefilled data reduces keying errors and inconsistencies
    • More precise vehicle details captured automatically via rego lookup

Product updates – effective from 23rd April 2026

Alongside the platform changes, we’re also making some meaningful updates to key products.   

  • Transport Pack   

    You’ll see:   

    • Inexperienced driver restrictions for articulated vehicles now only apply for Livestock, Dangerous Goods and Refrigerated Goods  
    • A larger operating radius for Livestock with one trailer – increasing from 200km to 450km  
    • No out-of-radius excess for Rigid trucks and trailers  
    • Theft by hirer now included*, covering Dry Hire and Damage Waiver scenarios where no damage waiver applies

    We’ve added:   

    • Theft by hirer for eligible items (Dry Hire or optional Damage Waiver)*
    • A new optional cover for portable Work Tools, including accidental damage and theft from vehicles.  Find out more about this new product.

Introducing: Work Tools

A new optional product within Yellow Cover

  • Covers portable work tools against accidental damage and theft from locked vehicles, tool boxes or premises (with evidence of violent and forcible entry).

  • It applies to business-owned portable tools, such as power tools and handheld equipment, as well as mobile phones and laptops used for work. 

  • This can be on site, in transit or on premises, with a total sum insured up to $40,000.
