Truck Assist: Powered by NTI is proud to launch an innovative technology solution via Truck Assist Roadside that enhances 24hr roadside assistance service delivery and safety, for customers and service providers.
NTI Chief Executive Officer, Mr Tony Clark said safety is the priority when it comes to product and service improvement, and this new technology is something NTI is equally proud and excited about.
“We’re facilitating better service efficiencies, reducing uncertainty and offering peace of mind – especially for those operating in remote areas or outside of typical work hours,” said Mr Clark.
The innovation enables customers to monitor the location of their service technician in the event of a breakdown. Features of the free app include:
- ‘SMS’ text message notification for customers, with a link that opens the map application.
- Being able to view the real-time location of the service technician enroute to the breakdown site.
- Monitoring the service technician’s travel and arrival time.
- Customer feedback and survey rating system.
Service providers and their employers also benefit from the app.
“Safety and security for service providers was equally important in developing the innovation, and is a key component of the app,” said Mr Clark.
“For example, prior to commencing repairs at the roadside, service providers must first complete a site safety checklist via the app to ensure their own and others’ safety.”
Truck Assist and its manufacturer partners Isuzu, Hino Australia and Penske Commercial Vehicles are currently rolling out the innovation to their national network of dealers and service providers.
Truck Assist Roadside offers 24/7 roadside assistance across Australia via a network of over 4,000 heavy vehicle truck recovery operators and service technicians.
