What you’ll love about the opportunity:
Reporting directly to the Chief People and Services Officer, this pivotal leadership role is responsible for implementing and overseeing NTI’s environmental and climate governance strategy. You will lead the ESG Committee, advise senior leaders, and collaborate across the business to embed ESG into our culture, operations, and decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop framework to deliver mandatory climate reporting in FY27
- Develop and implement short and long-term ESG and climate strategies
- Lead the ESG Committee and support ESG subcommittees across the business
- Provide guidance on ESG risks, opportunities, and climate scenario analyses
- Ensure compliance with Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS) and other evolving regulatory frameworks
- Champion ESG training, change readiness, and communication initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to influence decision-making using ESG insights
- Represent NTI externally to promote ESG leadership and innovation
What we’ll love about you:
You’re a collaborative leader with a passion for sustainability and strategic change. You bring:
- 5+ years of leadership experience in ESG, sustainability, risk, governance or related fields
- Expertise in climate reporting, ESG disclosure frameworks, or financial reporting
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distil complex issues into practical action
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Strategic thinking combined with hands-on project delivery experience
- A commercial mindset with a high level of professional judgment
- Proficiency in Excel for financial modelling and PowerPoint for stakeholder communications
Qualifications:
- Formal qualifications in Business, Environmental Science, Sustainability or a related discipline (MBA or equivalent desirable)
