2 years ago, NTI launched a new specialty line, NTI Truck Assist, which is responsible for servicing customers’ needs for our various products: The growth of this new portfolio has exceeded expectations and has become an important part of NTI’s future.  Due to this success,  we are expanding our sales and development team.  Our NTI Truck Assist team build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and have an excellent reputation in the market. We are proactive, customer focused and collaborative in our approach and consider ourselves experts when it comes to understanding the industries we operate in.

The opportunity:

Based in one of our offices around the country and reporting to the National Development Manager – Affinity Partners, you will develop and manage a portfolio of key business relationships throughout Australia for NTI’s speciality line; Truck Assist: You will be a key member of the dynamic, innovative and highly motivated Direct team, supported by an industry leading product and a strong brand. In this pivotal and rewarding role you will demonstrate your ability to think strategically and creatively to develop innovative solutions to meet customer needs and facilitate strong growth in the performance of the portfolio.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Build and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve individual and national revenue targets;

  • Develop new and existing relationships to increase quote traffic, achieve financial targets and increase products per customer ratio;

  • Collaborate with the NTI Truck Assist Customer Care team, Product Manager and claims teams to deliver seamless customer service to clients;

  • Contribute to the development of the sales team through coaching and mentoring;

  • Drive improvements in collaboration with various stakeholders;

  • Foster a strong company profile by attending and participating in industry events.

To be successful you will have:

  • Bachelor of Business or Commerce with a focus on Sales and Marketing or related discipline (highly desirable)

  • ANZIIF or equivalent qualifications (essential)

  • Minimum 5 years’ business development experience in the general insurance industry.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in B2B relationship-based sales, winning and managing sales in a difficult market, B2C relationship-based experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically to deliver differentiated customer outcomes.

  • A proven track record in intermediary and relationship based sales.

  • Demonstrated understanding of the market in which NTI operates.

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills.

  • Ability to attend events outside of normal business hours and location as required.
