What you’ll love about the role:

As a key member of the Claims leadership team, you will be play an important role in continuing and strengthening our exceptional, market-leading claims offering.  Your role will focus on providing strong leadership and strategic direction to a team of specialist Claims Consultants in order to ensure NTI’s sustainable and competitive advantage through Claims activities. Reporting to the National Claims Manager, you will manage a team of Senior Claims Consultants and Claims Consultants within QLD.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • People leadership and development of your team including recruitment, performance management, coaching, training and workflow management 
  • Drive service delivery, deepening the expertise of the claims operations team and embedding customer centric behaviours 
  • Manage the teams’ activities in order to reduce the cost of claims and liabilities and improve operational efficiency
  • Implement the strategic initiatives of the Claims function in collaboration with the leadership team


Are you the State Claims Manager we are looking for?

You will be an experienced Claims professional with a sound technical understanding of motor claims management and processes. You will be a skilled negotiator, exceptional communicator and someone who doesn’t shy away from difficult conversations. You are resilient, assertive, driven, innovative, and have a passion for working hands-on with your team to see them succeed. In addition you will have:

  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in an operational claims role
  • Minimum five (3) years’ experience in a people leadership role
  • Experience in managing motor claims (ideally commercial claims however not essential)
  • A tertiary qualification and/or ANZIIF qualification (highly regarded)
