The opportunity

Based in our Brisbane Head Office and reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, you will support and maintain NTI’s technology infrastructure and systems. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network, server, systems, data and telecommunications systems. This role will also deliver exceptional customer service and support to resolve issues in a timely manner to ensure business continuity, security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing, administering, and monitoring infrastructure, systems, networks and software to ensure they are kept up to date and highly available
  • Evaluate existing applications, systems, procedures and platforms and give recommendations for enhancing performance, security and availability
  • Provide project support and manage technical escalations (L2/L3) from the IT Service Desk and broader IT team through to resolution
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure that solutions are designed with customer user experience, scale/performance and operability in mind 
  • Develop, document and maintain installation, provisioning, security, configuration and DR/BCP procedures
  • Review incoming enhancements in regard to their feasibility, estimated work content and urgency 
  • Develop trusted customer relationships through a focus on exceeding customer expectations, demonstrating credibility through applied subject matter expertise, and being responsive to customer needs
  • Securing of infrastructure so that the data and operations of the organisation are protected from harm, both malicious and inadvertent


Our ideal candidate 

You will be highly customer-centric with an extensive background in IT Service Desk support within Windows and Linux operating systems. Your exposure to hybrid cloud environments and depth of technical knowledge in cloud based technologies will see you succeed in this role. In addition, you will have:

  • Proven experience in analysing and solving complex problems
  • High degree of ‘learning agility’ with the ability to readily consume and apply new information and concepts with developed analytical problem solving skills 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and partner with business leadership, employees, and vendors 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and a high level of flexibility with the ability to adapt to change
