Bus Description

A bus is a road vehicle designed to carry large volumes of passengers. There are a range of configurations including a single-decker rigid bus, double-decker bus, articulated (bendy) bus, open-top bus, coaches, midi-buses and minibuses.

Buses have a variety of uses including scheduled transport, coach transport, school transport, private hire and tourism.

Generally, engines are housed underneath the bus towards the middle or rear. Luggage space is also available under the bus. There is at least one door at the front of the bus and some have a second door towards the middle of the bus. Seating configurations vary. However, there are usually two rows of double seats down each side of the bus.

Insurance products are provided by National Transport Insurance, a joint venture of the insurers Insurance Australia Limited trading as CGU  Insurance ABN 11 000 016 722 AFSL 227681  and AAI Limited Trading as Vero Insurance ABN 48 005 297 807 AFSL 230859 each holding a 50% share. National Transport Insurance is administered on behalf of the insurers by its manager NTI Limited ABN 84 000 746 109 AFSL 237246.
