Livestock Description

A livestock trailer is used to transport animals from one location to another. The trailer is connected to the back of a truck or dolly.

The trailer has louvered, instead of solid, sides to ensure ventilation. Livestock trailers usually have convertible floors so they may haul two decks of cattle or convert the same trailer to haul four decks of sheep.  However, some older units can be single-level for large animals such as cattle and horses.

Insurance products are provided by National Transport Insurance, a joint venture of the insurers Insurance Australia Limited trading as CGU  Insurance ABN 11 000 016 722 AFSL 227681  and AAI Limited Trading as Vero Insurance ABN 48 005 297 807 AFSL 230859 each holding a 50% share.
