Jinker Description

A jinker trailer is a trailer designed to transport long logs and is generally mounted to a prime mover for transportation.

There are two types of jinker trailers – one for normal bitumen roads and the other for rough ground in the forest where the logs are being loaded.

Off-road trucks have up to nine axles to provide low ground pressure and effective traction and have highly specialised suspension and tyres. They are high-powered vehicles capable of towing significant loads.

Logs are generally loaded by winches and cranes and are unloaded by rolling off the trailer.
