Concrete pumping Description

Concrete pumping involves the transfer of liquid concrete through pipes and hoses via a pumping mechanism. There are three types of concrete pumps including a boom pump, line pump and a stationary trailer-line pump.

The concrete pump shown here is a boom concrete pump attached to a truck. It has a remote controlled articulating arm known as a boom to place concrete, delivered from the cement mixer into the boom pump hopper, where it needs to go.

Boom pumps are commonly used on large construction sites for foundations and high-rise structures as they are capable of pumping at very high volumes and over long distances both horizontally and vertically.
