Marine Protect open for business

Date: 24 April 2017

NTI is excited to announce its Marine Protect brand is now underwriting new business.

The company is also offering renewal terms for CGU and Vero marine policies incepting from 1st June, 2017.

This follows the recent announcement that IAG’s CGU and Suncorp’s Vero would be transferring their marine businesses to NTI to create the region’s leading marine insurance specialist.

NTI CEO, Mr Tony Clark, said it was an exciting day for the company.

“As always with NTI, we are committed to providing a leading product suite, exceptional service and best-in-class claims services to our intermediary partners and customers.  Marine Protect is no exception.

“We’re proud to have all of the marine specialists from both CGU and Vero now operating across the country as part of the NTI team while keeping their existing relationships with intermediaries in place.

NTI’s Head of Marine, Andrew Kidd, said the company has created a new market-leading product suite, incorporating the best covers from NTI, Vero and CGU.

“Marine Protect is offering a range of specialist marine products under the sub-brands of Cargo Protect, Hull Protect, Marine Liability Protect, and Carriers Protect.

“A number of Cargo Protect products, as well as Carriers Protect, are now available on Sunrise and iClose.

“We have also developed a specialised marine claims solution, incorporating NTI’s award-winning claims services, to ensure marine customers are looked after by a single claims consultant who will personally manage the claim.

“NTI’s Business Development team, as well as our Marine Protect underwriters, will be in touch over the coming weeks to provide support and continue the roll-out of our training program.
