Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is it best to send my application directly to NTI or go through a recruitment agency?

A. We would love to hear from you directly! There are three reasons for this: 1) we don't always use recruitment agencies for every vacancy we have and we don't have relationships with all recruitment agencies, 2) we would like to be able to personalise the NTI recruitment experience for you and answer any questions you might have and 3) sometimes when using recruitment agencies, the process becomes longer and we are unable to contact you directly.

Q. How do I know if my application has been received?

A. When you submit your CV/resume you should receive an automated email response acknowledging we've received your application. If you don't receive this you are more than welcome to call us on +617 3292 9880 to confirm.

Q. If I don't hear from NTI within 4 weeks of the role’s closing date have I been unsuccessful?

A. We literally receive hundreds of applications for some roles, so it takes time to review everyone’s CV/resume. If you do not hear from us within 4 weeks of the role’s closing date, you most likely have been unsuccessful. However, unless you write to us and say otherwise, we would love to keep your CV/resume on file, in accordance with the national Privacy Principles.

Q. What are you looking for in a candidate?

A. This question is a little tricky to answer as it really depends on the role, the requirements and the team your joining. If, from reading the Job Ad and Position Description you think you've got the right skills, experience and personal traits, then you should apply. It’s always better to send in your CV/resume thn miss out on a great career opportunity!

Q. If I have been unsuccessful in securing a role with NTI, does this mean I shouldn't apply in the future?

A. Absolutely not! While you might be unsuccessful on this occasion, it doesn't mean we don’t want you working with us in the future. There are many factors that determine who is successful and who isn't - and in some cases it’s only something small. If you are interested in joining our team, continue to check our website’s Current Vacancies and online job boards such as SEEK, insuranceNEWS and LinkedIn.
