Privacy Statement

The Privacy Act 1998 (as amended) requires us to inform you about our policy on the management of your personal and sensitive information.

Purpose of collection

We also use it to administer and provide insurance services and manage you and your rights and obligations in relation to the insurance services that we provide to you, including managing, processing and investigating claims.

The personal information collected can be used or disclosed by us for a secondary purpose related to the provision of insurance services, but only if you would reasonably expect us to use or disclose the information for this secondary purpose. However, for sensitive information, the secondary purpose must be directly related to the provision of insurance services to you.

Cartage Contractor
A cartage contractor operates truck and freight handling equipment, handles and moves freight (may specialise in hazardous, pre-mix, gravel etc..), visits third party locations, can own or lease a depot/terminal, can have a workshop for own vehicles, can store own fuel but does not include manufacturing or sales activities.

Earthmoving Contractor
An earthmoving contractor operates plant and machinery, (may specialise in certain tasks such as land / site clearing, excavation less than 10m, trenching, basic retaining walls), visits third party locations, can own or lease a depot/terminal, can have a workshop for own vehicles, can store own fuel. It does not include piling, drilling, construction, underground mining or works on/adjacent to water, airports, railways, wharves, harbours or bridges, or other additional activities.

NTI is unable to offer Liability insurance for certain occupations. We will notify you if we are unable to offer you a policy.
